IMPORTANT UPDATES: SHIPPING & MORE GOVERNMENT ATTACKS

What in the Canada Post is Happening?

Let’s start with shipping. Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) are in tense negotiations that, let’s be honest, aren’t exactly smooth sailing. While neither side has issued the mandatory 72-hour strike notice yet (which is a small win), the risk of a strike is looming over our heads. If this happens, expect a major slowdown—Canada Post will pause deliveries, and other shipping carriers will be swamped beyond belief.

If a strike is officially announced, we’ll notify you right away with alternative delivery options. But please, don’t shoot the messenger - no pun intended. We have no control over shipping carriers.

The Excise Tax Effect.

Now, onto the other unwelcome shipping news: rates have increased. Why? Our Federal and Provincial Government’s goal to make everything in this country more expensive is working, and vaping is no exception. The latest round of the vaping Excise Tax hit on October 1, 2024, raising costs from the manufacturer level all the way down. So, to continue offering Free Shipping, we had to adjust our Free Shipping minimums.

These new minimums vary by province and are now live:

$100 Free Shipping:

  • Ontario
  • Quebec
  • Manitoba

$120 Free Shipping:

  • Newfoundland
  • Nova Scotia
  • New Brunswick
  • Prince Edward Island
  • Saskatchewan
  • Alberta
  • British Columbia

$200 Free Shipping:

  • Yukon
  • Nunavut
  • Northwest Territories

Before you fire off a frustrated email to us, maybe direct it to your elected representative instead.

The Federal Government’s Targeted Attack Continues

And now, onto the fun part. Wait, did I say fun? I meant incredibly shortsighted.

After a run-in with a couple of protesters, Liberal Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, Ya’ara Saks, decided to fold like a cheap suit. Rather than address black-market risks, rising tobacco use, or people’s right to safer alternatives, she’s full steam ahead with a flavour ban on vaping products. As she puts it, “I don't anticipate this is going to take much longer.”

It seems Ya’ara Saks and Mark Holland are determined to push their agenda, even if it harms millions of Canadians in the process.

What Can We Do?

At this point, it feels like the Liberal Government is just going to do whatever they want no matter the repercussions on Canadians, to the surprise of no one, but we have to at least attempt a pushback. And we need your help.

Please contact your local Member of Parliament to voice your concern about the proposed flavour ban. Your voice matters, and you can make a difference. Here are some quick talking points to consider when you reach out through email, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, or any public forum:

  • Retailers comply with strict regulations to prevent youth access. We need enforcement, not bans, to protect young Canadians.

  • A flavour ban will force adult vapers back to smoking or the unsafe black market, undoing years of progress in harm reduction.

  • This policy will devastate thousands of small businesses and families, impacting the livelihoods of Canadians nationwide.

If this flavour ban goes through, it will be illegal for us to sell any flavours except mint, tobacco, or flavourless. No fruit, no flavours that I’m already legally banned from speaking about - nothing beyond the most basic selections.

And frankly? That would shut us down overnight, laying off our entire team in the process. The only winner would be blackmarket sellers, big tobacco companies, and probably the pockets of a few elected politicians.

This is it. Our last chance.

Je suis pas mal tanné que le gouvernement veule touts contrôler, laissez-nous vivre en paix, la vie est assez difficile comme sa,c’est n’est plus un pays libre, je me sens plus chez moi.

I really don’t understand why the government thinks this is a good idea! As you stated, retailers already ban sales to those under 18. What’s the difference if an adult wants to have a tobacco flavoured vape, or a fruit flavoured one? In my case, I choose the fruit flavours to get me away from smoking tobacco cigarettes. I tried a tobacco flavoured vape recently, and realized that the taste of tobacco turns me off now. I think that the government is being very short-sighted on the issue if they pass this ban!

I really like to thank the cdn government for screwing all the smoking vapes Up.Everytime they get involved they lie, they say they will cap rent rates. Now they will increase taxes for vape juice. 60.00 bucks a bottle is to much. I’ve recently resorted to disposable vapes as much cheaper, ty Justin n pls stay out of everything that really is not ur business please
